I’m excited to announce that I’ve finally put out the first installment in my “Reasons Not To Leave Your Home Tonight” series– The Rot-Eyed Lady!
Gross name. I agree.
This is a project I’ve been working on since about October of last year. The initial idea is, I really like monsters. So, I thought I’d do my best to make monsters in a… a more productive way, I guess? Originally, I was thinking I’d release a list of 100 monsters in a sort of compendium, but I quickly realized that that meant I had to come up with and develop one hundred unique monsters, and that was more than enough monsters to quickly overwhelm a potential reader. Like a monster Thanksgiving dinner. Put them into a monster fugue.
Anyway.
I eventually settled on a list of 13 characters to develop. After the writing was done (mostly) I went about contacting an artist to bring the monsters to life. After the art was secure, I finished up the layout (secretly I love picking out fonts) and hit ‘go!’
This is the first one, hopefully, of the 13 that I intend to publish. I’ve already got two more on the way, which should be out in the next two-ish months!
